*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.1 to decide the statutory appeal dated 06.01.2022 (Annexure P-7) filed against the order dated 03.01.2022 within some stipulated period.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on one hand on the alleged delinquency, as more specifically stated in the petition, vide an office order dated 28.05.2021 (Annexure P-1), financial powers of petitioner, working as District Programme Manager, have been withdrawn, while on the other, his reply to the show cause notice was not even been considered. Petitioner has also preferred an appeal which is not being heard. He submits that appeal is to be decided by the appellate authority within 21 days as prescribed by law but the appeal has not been decided. Hence, the instant petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and gone through the case file.

Without adverting to the merits of the case, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the appellate authority to decide the appeal within 30 days from today.
