AJAY TEWARI, J (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition preferred under Section 438 Cr.P.C is for issuance of directions to learned JMIC, Rupnagar to admit the petitioner on bail in the event of his arrest in complaint case No.453 dated 22.2.2013 U/s 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act titled as Avtar Singh Longia Vs. Harbans Lal.

Vide order dated 22.6.2015, this Court while admitting the petitioner to interim bail directed him to appear before the Investigating Officer on 29.6.2015 at 11.00 AM and join the investigation. However, on the last date of hearing, it was noticed that due to some misconception, the petitioner could not appear before the Investigating Officer and one more opportunity was granted for the purpose aforesaid. Today the learned State counsel, on instructions from HC Jaswinder Singh has stated that the petitioner has joined investigation and is no longer required for custodial interrogation. In the circumstances, the interim order dated 22.06.2015 is made absolute.

CRM-M- 20247 of 2015 #2# Petition stands allowed.
