Mohan Singh & ORS v. State Of Punjab & ORS
DAILY LOK ADALAT BENCH NO.3 CWP-9298-1999 MOHAN SINGH & ORS. V/S STATE OF PUNJAB & ORS. * * * *
Present:
Mr. HK Aurora, Advocate for Municipal Corporation-R3. * * * * Notices were issued to all the three petitioners after their counsel failed to put in appearance. It was reported back that Mohan Singh, Petitioner No.1 has since died. Ajit Singh Chopra, Petitioner No.2 could not be served on account of incomplete address. Mohan Singh and Kasturi Lal could not be served and the notices were received back unserved, but learned counsel appearing for the Municipal Corporation informs that Kasturi Lal has since died about 09 years back. None has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioners, today. Mr. HK Aurora, Advocate appearing for the Municipal Corporation has also filed his power of attorney, which is taken on record.
He has placed on record a letter dated May 22, 2017, Annexure 'A', wherein it is stated that the benefit of pension to all the three petitioners has already been granted from the dates of their initial appointment long back. Counsel, thus, submits that the relief sought by the petitioners has already been granted. This renders the writ petition infructuous and be disposed of as such.
For the stand taken by the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous. (G.C. GARG) PRESIDENT (N.K. KAPOOR) MEMBER May 26, 2017 Naina Rajput
