Through this petition, the petitioners seek anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.49 dated 11.03.2021, registered at Police Station Dirbha, District Sangrur, under Sections 406, 420 and 120-B IPC. Petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law, respectively, of Sorabh Singla whose marriage was solemnized with Fiza Garg on 30.05.2019. Complainant-Ravinder Kumar is the father of Sorabh Singla.

Vide order dated 08.04.2021 passed by a Coordinate Bench, the matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and the parties were directed to appear there on 06.05.2021. The petitioners were also granted ad interim pre-arrest bail and directed to join investigation.

CRM-M-15491-2021 /2/ parties have amicably settled the dispute vide settlement/agreement, which is taken on record as Mark-A. The parties have agreed to abide by all the terms and conditions of the compromise arrived at before the Mediator.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a compromise has been arrived at between the parties and on the basis thereof, a petition i.e. CRM-M-8821-2022 for quashing of the abovenoted FIR has been filed. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Bant Singh, submits that the petitioners have joined investigation and are now not required for any further investigation.

Learned counsel for the complainant submits that the matter has been compromised between the parties before the Mediator. In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 08.04.2021 granting interim bail to the petitioners, is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
