The contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 10.10.2023 passed in CWP-22833-2023, whereby, respondent No.6-Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Batala, was directed to decide the complaint dated 22.08.2023 filed by the petitioner expeditiously preferably within four weeks from the date of passing of the order dated 10.10.2023.

Learned State counsel contends that in compliance of order dated 10.10.2023, affidavit of Mr. Paramjit Singh, IAS, Director, Rural Development and Panchayat Punjab, dated 05.12.2024 along with Annexure R-1/T dated 10.10.2024 has been filed, which is taken on record. 3.
A perusal of affidavit dated 05.12.2024 shows that order dated 10.10.2023 passed in CWP-22833-2023, has been complied with. 4.
In view of the same, the contempt is purged and rule is discharged. 5.
Liberty is however granted to the petitioner to avail the remedy as is available to him in accordance with law.
