(Oral) Quashing of FIR No. 92 dated 10.06.2013 under Section 406 IPC, registered at Police Station Raman District Bathinda, is being sought. Initially the present petition was filed seeking quashing of F.I.R on merits but some better sense prevailed between the parties and the matter stands compromised between the parties, as informed by learned counsel for the petitioners on 08.09.2015 and this Court vide order dated 08.09.2015 directed the parties to get their statements recorded in view of the compromise effected between the parties. The compromise deed is Annexure R-2/1.

In compliance of order dated 08.09.2015, report dated 03.02.2017 of Sub Divn. Judl. Magistrate, Talwandi Sabo has been received in this regard. As per report, statement of parties have been recorded. The complainant stated that the matter stands compromised between the parties and she does not want to proceed further against the accused and has no GAURAV ARORA 2017.03.27 16:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Crl. Misc. No. M-23162 of 2013 objection, if the present F.I.R be quashed against the petitioners. The compromise has been entered voluntarily. To the same effect is the joint statement given by the petitioners.

Consequently, in view of the status report dated 03.02.2017 and in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Dr. Arvind Barsaul etc. versus State of Madhya Pradesh and another 2008(2) RCR (Criminal) 910, no useful purpose would be served in prolonging the litigation.

Accordingly, FIR No. 92 dated 10.06.2013 under Section 406 IPC, registered at Police Station Raman District Bathinda, is quashed along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom qua petitioners. The petition stands disposed of.
