SABINA, J Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No.71 dated 14.05.2015, under Sections 498-A and 406 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short IPC) Section 406 IPC added lateron, registered at Police Station Gharinda, Amritsar.

While issuing notice of motion, following order was passed by this Court on 24.06.2015:- " This petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 71 dated 14.5.2015 under Sections 498-A/406 IPC (offence under Section 406 is added later on), Police Station Gharinda, Amritsar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that on

He further states that even at this stage, the petitioner is willing to compromise on reasonable terms and take back the complainant along with her child in the matrimonial home. Notice of motion for 27.07.2015.

In view of the aforesaid and without going into the merit of the case and for the limited purpose of exploring the possibility of settlement, as an interim measure, it is directed that the petitioner shall be admitted to interim bail on his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/ Investigating Officer. The petitioner shall, however, join investigation as and when called for and he will also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. "

Learned State counsel who is assisted by Assistant Sub Inspector Surjit Singh has submitted that the petitioner has joined investigation and is not required for further investigation.

Accordingly, interim bail granted to the petitioner by this Court vide order dated 24.06.2015, is made absolute. Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
