*** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner argued that keeping in view the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No. 556 of 2020 dated 21.01.20220, the petitioner had applied for the grant of stage carriage permit under the Stage Carriage Scheme of 2016 but, even as of now, the petitioner has not been informed the outcome of the said application. Learned counsel submits that though the petitioner had been filing representations to the respondents regularly but, on 10.02.2022, the petitioner has served a legal notice dated 17.09.2021 (Annexure P-7) upon the respondents in respect of the grievance as raised in the present petition and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage in case a time bound direction is given to the respondents to decide the said legal notice by passing an appropriate speaking order.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Raman Kumar Sharma, Addl.A.G., Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Learned counsel for the respondents raises no objection in decision of the legal notice dated 17.09.2021 (Annexure P-7) in a time bound manner by passing an appropriate speaking order. Without commenting upon the merits of the case or about the entitlement of the petitioner for the relief which has been claimed by him in the legal notice dated 17.09.2021 (Annexure P-7), the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to decide the legal notice dated 17.09.2021 (Annexure P-7) within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of copy of this order.

In case, it is found that the petitioner is entitled for the monetary benefits after the decision of the legal notice, the same should also be paid to the petitioner within four weeks thereafter.
