The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking direction to respondents Nos.2 and 3 to provide protection to the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 8.

It has been stated that Sukhpreet Kaur - petitioner No.1 is married to Krishan Singh - respondent No.7, whose whereabouts are not known for the last about 71⁄2 years, when he abandoned petitioner No.1 along with their two children. Ld. Counsel further states that petitioner No.1 along with her children is presently residing with Jasvir Singh - petitioner No.2.

Ld. Counsel has averred that both the petitioners are major and are residing peacefully along with the children, but respondents No.4 to 8 are against their live-in-relationship and, thus, the petitioners apprehend danger to their lives and liberty.

The petitioners have submitted representation dated 16.6.016 (Annexure P-3) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda - respondent No.2 seeking protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of the private respondents.

CRM-M-21562-2016 [2] After hearing counsel for the petitioners and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the relationship of the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to look into the said issue and take necessary action in accordance with law.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
