SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who allege to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 6, parents and brother of petitioner No.1. Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 24.06.2015 (Annexure P-4) made by the petitioners. The age of petitioner No.1-Shalu is about 20 years. In support of her contention, she has placed on record copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2) showing her year of birth as 1995. However, the age of petitioner No.2 is less than 20 years at this stage. As per copy of passport, placed on file as Annexure P-3, his date of birth is 23.08.1995.

In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage or status of petitioners as husband and wife, this petition is SACHIN MEHTA 2015.06.29 16:23 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
