SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6, parents and brother of petitioner No.1. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Sandeep Kaur is 19.12.1996 as per copy of Matriculation Examination Certificate (Annexure P/1) and that of petitioner No.2-Sandeep Dass is 20.01.1989 as per copy of Matriculation Examination Certificate (Annexure P/2). They allegedly got married on 26.06.2015. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P/4. The representation dated 26.06.2015 (Annexure P/5) was sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, where the parents and relatives of petitioner No.1 are residing. The petitioners are residing at Sangrur. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
