Present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 read with Article 226 of Constitution of India for quashing/setting aside of private complaint/Kalandra GD No.28 dated 20.11.2025 (Annexure P-8) registered under Sections 126, 169 and 170 of BNSS, 2023 lodged by respondent No.8.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that respondent No.8 is Sarpanch of the village and there is a civil dispute between the petitioners and private respondents. In this regard, a representation dated 02.02.2026 (Annexure P-9) was submitted, but no action has been taken so far.

Mr. Surinderjit Singh Nahar, AAG, Punjab, accepted notice on behalf of respondent-State and upon instructions from ASI Bakshish Singh submitted that Kalandra has been decided and the file has already been consigned to records, nothing survives for adjudication in the present matter. However, learned State counsel submitted that as regards the present representation moved by the petitioners, the same will be looked into in accordance with law.

Keeping in view the submissions made by learned State counsel that Kalandra has already been decided and the present representation (Annexure P-9) moved by the petitioners will be looked into in accordance with law, the present petition is disposed of as nothing survives for adjudication in the present matter.
