The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure with a prayer to quash the impugned order dated 24.02.2023 titled as "State Vs. Ashok Jindal", whereby the application under Section 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure filed by the present petitioner was ordered to be dismissed. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner wants to examine the Tax Assistant from the Office of Income Tax, Ludhiana to produce the PAN Card number of the complainant in the present case.

On the other hand learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents No.2(i) and 2(iii) submits that he has no objection in case MAMTA 2024.07.31 17:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CRM-M-13680-2023 -2the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is allowed. However, appropriate directions may be issued to the trial Court to expedite the trial proceedings.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, learned trial Court is directed to grant one effective opportunity to the petitioner/accused to summon the Tax Assistant from the Office of Income Tax, Ludhiana and he may also be directed to produce the PAN Card number of the complainant. Since the FIR is of the year 2011, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial proceedings.
