Main case The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) for issuance of direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider representation dated 23.09.2024 (Annexure P-3) so as to stop harassment of the petitioner and his family at the hands of private respondent i.e. respondent No.4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioner who is a complainant in an application against respondent No.4 who has assaulted both the petitioners on 18.09.2024. Thereafter, the petitioners have made a representation dated 23.09.2024 (Annexure P-3) to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, regarding the said incident, however no steps have been taken to address their grievance. In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali) is directed to decide the representation dated 23.09.2024 (Annexure P-3) within a period of one month by passing a speaking order.
