Mr. Mukul Goyal, Advocate, for the petitioner. ***** KIRTI SINGH, J. (Oral) This petition under Section 528 of Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS, 2023) has been filed seeking direction to the official respondents No.1 to 3 to conduct a fair, impartial and expedite inquiry/investigation in to the complaint lodged by the petitioner and take action on her representation/complaint dated 24.01.2025 (Annexure P2). 2.

At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has filed a representation/complaint dated 24.01.2025 (Annexure P2) before respondent No.2 raising her grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereupon. He further submitted that at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if, appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.2, to consider and decide the aforesaid representation/complaint filed by the petitioner and take necessary action thereupon.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Davinder Bir Singh, Senior DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent(s)-State and submits that the needful will be done in due course. Let a complete set of the paperbook be supplied to him during the course of the day. 5.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide the aforesaid representation/complaint dated 24.01.2025 (Annexure P2) of the petitioner expeditiously, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.

Needless to say, if any threat is found to the petitioner, the official respondents would provide them adequate security in order to protect their life and liberty.

Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stands disposed of.
