Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioners have lodged FIR No.170 dated 19.11.2014 against respondent No.5, who is now posted in the same police station i.e. P.S. Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran, where the FIR is pending. They have apprehends danger to their lives and liberty at the hands of respondent No.5 and made representation to this effect to Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran to look into the representation Annexure P-3 made by petitioners, verify the allegations with regard to threat to lives and liberty of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that the above order shall not be interpreted as giving direction to protect the petitioners from any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against them in accordance with law.
