SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 and 5, parents of petitioner No.1.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 22.06.2015 (Annexure P/5) made by petitioner No.1. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Rajwinder Kaur is 02.06.1992 as per copy of Birth Certificate (Annexure P/1) and that of petitioner No.2-Gurpreet Singh is 11.11.1992 as per copy of Fifth Class Examination Certificate (Annexure P/2). They allegedly got married on 22.06.2015. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P/4. Both the petitioners are now residing at village Mand Pandher, Tehsil Dasuya, District Hoshiarpur.

CRM-M-21054-2015 -2the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, where the parties are residing, to look into the representation dated 22.06.2015 Annexure P/5 (addressed to Senior Superintendent of Police, Saheed Bhagat Singh Nagar) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of certified copy of this order along with representation (Annexure P/5) in his office. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
