Joginder Singh v. State Of Punjab And Others
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH CWP No. 6866 of 2019 Date of decision : 14.03.2019 Joginder Singh ....Petitioner V/s State of Punjab & ors.
....Respondents BEFORE : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA
Present:
Mr. Kewal Singh, Advocate for the petitioner. RAJAN GUPTA J.
Petitioner has prayed for a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing transfer order dated 01.03.2019 (Annexure P-3) passed by respondent no. 2 which is against the transfer policy, Annexure P-4. Learned counsel submits that petitioner who is working as Superintendent Grade-II has been transferred from Mansa to Sangrur. He will superannuate on 23.05.2021.
This court does not find any ground to interfere as there is no blatant violation of the policy. Besides, distance between Mansa and Sangrur is not much. Transfer being an exigency of service, the authority was fully competent to direct transfer of the petitioner. Petition is, thus, without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
