ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioners have approached this Court for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to remove their pay anomaly. They seek stepping up their pay at par with their Junior PTI teachers. In the circumstances, they caused issuance of a legal notice dated 11.12.2019 (Annexure P-2), but the same has not been adverted till date by the respondents. Hence this petition.

Ms. Anu Pal DAG, Punjab, who has joined proceedings, on service of advance copy of petition, accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.
