H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) Learned State counsel, on instructions from HC Ashwani Kumar, from Police Station Cantonment, District Amritsar, states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is not required for further investigation.

Learned State counsel however, submits that he is not in a position to show anything regarding genuineness of compromise as, despite being called time and again, complainant has not appeared before the Investigating officer.

In any case, the interim bail granted to the petitioners vide order dated 7.6.2017 is made absolute, subject to fulfillment of conditions envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. The petition in that way is allowed.
