BEDI, J (ORAL) Petitioner is sought to be arrested in context to his conduct of the year 2004 of having connived with his four accused and made statements pertaining to a site fallen within the revenue limits of Tehsil Bhawanigarh and committed lapses and dereliction of duties which had abetted the commission of offence of floating a bogus factory by their co-accused which resulted in evasion of a sum of more than Rs.1.5 crores causing loss to the exchequer of the State.

The FIR was registered in the year 2013 pertaining to incident of the year 2004.

In view of the fact that the petitioner has since retired and joined investigation, it does not appear to be a case of RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2015.01.14 16:41 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

The petition is allowed. Interim order dated 4.9.2014, is hereby made absolute subject to the conditions that the petitioner will join investigation and provide the information and help and facilitate the investigation. In case of non-cooperation on the part of the petitioner in providing relevant information necessary for the just investigation, it will be open to the investigating agency to approach this Court for cancellation of the bail. This order will not absolve financial liability, if any, of the petitioner by the concerned Department.
