Prayer made in the petition for quashing the order dated 04.04.2002 and directing the respondents to promote the petitioner, might not be surviving, due to efflux of time.

In the reply filed in compliance to the last order dated 28.02.2025, it has been stated that petitioner was placed at seniority No.20 in the final seniority list framed upto 31.12.1999 as per Punjab District Service (Class III) Rules, 1976, issued vide letter dated 29.01.2010. He is also stated to have retired as Senior Assistant on 31.10.2003 and passed away on 06.03.2020.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of, however still reserving the LR's of the petitioner with a liberty to revive the petition, if lis still subsists.
