(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., for issuance of appropriate directions to the official respondents No. 1 to 3 for taking action in pursuance to the complaint dated 06.03.2021 (Annexure P-4) filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that vide representation dated 06.03.2021 (Annexure P-4), made to respondent the complainant had made specific allegations against two boys of their village with respect to a sexual assault carried out on her minor daughter, however no action had been taken.

Learned counsel has submitted that the official respondents are under legal obligation to pass an appropriate order on her representation, which clearly discloses the commission of cognizable offences. Notice of motion.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the petition is disposed of with a direction to the official respondent No.2 - Sr. Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali), to look into the grievance of the petitioner as stated in the representation dated 06th March, 2021 (Annexure P-4) and take appropriate action.

In the wake of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of and respondent No.2 - Sr. Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali), is directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner as stated in the representation dated 06th March, 2021 (Annexure P4) and take appropriate steps, if any required, under the provisions of law. However, if the respondent does not find any substance or merit in the allegations levelled by her, much less, commission of cognizable offences, then the petitioner be duly informed as per the parameters laid down by the Apex Court in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh & Ors 2013(4) RCR (Criminal) 979.
