(ORAL) Counsel for the petitioner herein prays for setting aside the order dated 19.06.2020 whereby the petitioner has been declared as a proclaimed offender in FIR No.66 dated 25.02.2020 under Sections 379B, 343, 459, 506, 34 IPC (Sections 395, 460, 325, 411, 201 IPC added later on and deleted Section 379B IPC) registered at Police Station City Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran.

It is contended that the petitioner had been allowed to join investigation by an order dated 06.08.2020 passed by this High Court in CRM-M No.8586 of 2021, however, he could not join the investigation on the ground that he had already been declared as a proclaimed offender by impugned order dated 19.06.2020. It is argued that he had challenged the order declaring him as a proclaimed offender before Sessions Court, which petition now stands withdrawn. It is argued that the petitioner herein is ready and willing to join the investigation in terms of the order dated 06.08.2020 passed in CRM-M No.8586 of 2021 and prays that the PANKAJ KUMAR 2021.04.09 17:53 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Ms. Samina Dhir, DAG, Punjab, who is present through the medium of video conferencing accepts notice for the respondent-State. I have heard counsel for the parties. Keeping in view the fact that the petitioner had already been allowed the benefit of joining the investigation, this Court deems it appropriate to allow the petitioner to put in appearance before the concerned trial Court within a period of one week from today and on his doing so, he will move an appropriate application before the trial Court to have the impugned order set aside, on which date, he will be admitted to bail.
