**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3, to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioners, who have married against the wishes of private respondents.

On the last date of hearing while issuing notice of motion, learned State counsel was directed to verify the authenticity of the Aadhar Cards of the petitioners (appended as Annexures P-1 & P-2, respectively) and also whether any FIR/DDR stands registered against petitioner No.2 qua the abduction/missing of petitioner No.1. Learned State counsel on instructions has apprised this Court that no FIR/DDR stands registered against petitioner No.2. He has further submitted that the statement of the father of petitioner No.1 has been recorded, wherein, he has categorically stated that he and his family are not averse to the marriage of the petitioners, therefore, there is no threat to their life and liberty. Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the instant petition may be disposed of, in the light of the statement made by learned State counsel in Court today.
