The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the benefit of ante-date appointment to the petitioner to the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGTEnglish) w.e.f. 5.3.2014, i.e., the date candidates lower in merit have been appointed/allowed to join, with all consequential benefits, including notional pay fixation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that at this stage, the petitioner will be satisfied in case her pending legal notice dated 21.12.2023, Annexure P-10, is considered and decided by the respondents in a specified period.

In view thereof, without going into the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to second respondent/Director General, Secondary Education to consider and decide the petitioner's pending legal notice dated 21.12.2023, within a period of three months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order. 6.

In case the petitioner is found entitled to the claimed relief, same shall be released to her within a period of two weeks thereafter. 7.
