Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.19 dated 19.03.2016 under Sections 306, 420 and 149 IPC registered at Police Station Ballianwali, District Bathinda. Notice of motion.

Ms.Shivali, Asstt. Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in the Court, on the asking of the Court, accepted notice on behalf of the respondent-State and contested the petition.

Police record is also available.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that FIR has been got registered by Gurdeep Kaur, mother of the deceased. The main allegation, as per the prosecution, was that the complainant party approached Sukhdev Singh @ Bhola, Sukhpreet Kaur, Veerpal Kaur, Sabha and Jagroop Singh for the VINEET GULATI 2016.07.28 10:23 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-22437 of 2016 -2purpose of marriage of Gurmeet Singh. Accused demanded `80,000/- and complainant party paid `43,000/-. The marriage was solemnized with the girl namely Jyoti. The next morning, the girl was not found there and feeling defrauded, Gurmeet Singh committed suicide.

The challan has already been presented. The petitioner is in custody since 21.03.2016. He is no more required for custodial interrogation or investigation. The trial of the case will take long time. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the petitioner in custody till the disposal of the case.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, without discussing the facts in minute detail and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail subject to his furnishing personal bonds in the sum of `50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
