(Oral) At the outset, learned State counsel has filed the status report dated 23.07.2022, by way of an affidavit of Kulwant Singh, HPS, DSP (HQ) Kaithal, on behalf of State of Haryana, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. Office to tag the same at appropriate place. Although there is no assistance from the side of the petitioners, yet learned State counsel submits that as per the status report, submitted by him before this Court, present petition can be disposed of. Relevant paragraphs of the said status report says as under:- "3.
That during inquiry both the petitioners stated that from her childhood petitioner no. 1 was living with her Nana-Nani in village Chochra Distt. Karnal. My Nana engaged petitioner no. 1 with petitioner no. 2 but her Maternal Uncle namely Naresh respondent no. 4, his sons Rohit-respondent no. 5 and Mohit-respondent no. 6 was not happy with this relationsip. Due to this relation petitioner no. 1 and petitioner no. 2 wants get marriage with each other. But the petitioner no. 1 was minor at that time. On 29.03.2022 they left their homes without informing anyone and a case was got registered! by her Grand Maternal-fAther in Police Station Ashandh. Due to fer they filed! the present petition in Punjab and Haryana High Court. Now petitioner no. 1 is major. The date of birth of petitioner no. 1 is 17.06.2004. Both the petitioners have come back to their home. Now they don't have any danger from respondent no. 4 to 6 because private respondents are agree with the marriage of petitioner no. 1 JAWALA RAM 2022.11.22 18:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

That during inquiry Ishwer s/o Kripa r/o Vill. Chochda distt. Karnal Maternal Grand Father of petitioner no. 1 also stated that neither he nor any member of his family has grudge with the marriage of petitioner no. And petitioner no. 2. Petitioner no. 1 is now major and both the petitioners have no danger with respondent no. 4 to 6. The statement of Ishwer s/o Kripa is araxed as AnnexureR-3 for kind perusal of this Hon bie Court. 5.
That during inquiry both the petitioners stated that now they have no danger from respondent no. 4 to 6 and they do not want any action against them and writ petition for safety may be dismissed. 6.
That during inquiry it was found that the petitioners did not give any representation to respondent no. 2 on 01-04-2022. However, life and liberty of the petitioners shall be protected in accordance with law. The inquiry report verified by Incharge Police Station Civil Line Kaithal is annexed as Annexure-R-4 for kind perusal of this Honble Court.

That during inquiry respondent no. 4 to 6 also gave statements that both the petitioners don't have any danger from them. The Statement of respondent no. 4 to 6 are Annexed as Annexure-R-5 to Annexure-R-7."
In view of the reply filed by State of Haryana in Court today, it appears that nothing more is left for this Court to examine the issue of threat perception to the petitioners.
