Ajay Kachura son of Surjit Kachura (petitioner No.1) claims to be 21 years and Sanjna daughter of Subhash Chander (petitioner No.2) claims to be 17 years and 10 months of age. They have pleaded that they are living together against the wishes of respondents No.5 to 14 and seek protection of their life and liberty. They apprehend danger from respondents No.5 to 14. The petitioners have submitted a representation dated 02.04.2021(Annexure P-2) to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka.

Petitioner No.2 has filed affidavit in support of the petition which is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has relied upon a judgment of this Court in CWP No.31834 of 2019 titled as "Megha and another Vs. SAVITA KADIAN 2021.04.09 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh

CRWP No.3299 of 2021 {2} State of Haryana and others" decided on 04.11.2019 and submitted that this Court had entertained petition for protection of couples in live-in relationship.

Without entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, the petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation of the petitioners, Annexure P-2 and grant them protection, if any threat to their life and liberty is perceived. It is made clear that this order shall not be taken to protect the petitioners from legal action for violation of law, if any, committed by them.
