(ORAL) The petitioners have invoked the inherent jurisdiction of this Court under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for directing respondents No. 2 to 6 to protect their lives and liberty at the hands of respondents No. 7 to 9 as they are openly threatening the petitioners to kill and pressurizing them to withdraw the cases filed by petitioner No. 1-Dr. Devinder Kaur against them.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that FIR No. 97 dated 11.06.2014 under Sections 498-A/406/382 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code was got registered by petitioner No. 1-Dr. Devinder Kaur against her husband/respondent No. 7Kamaljeet Singh and others and pre-arrest bail of respondent No. 7 was declined by this Court in CRM-M-29267-2014 (Kamaljeet Singh Vs. State of Punjab and another), vide order dated 31.10.2014 RISHU KATARIA 2015.07.08 17:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-21672-2015 -2- (Annexure P-3). It is further contended that consistent pressure is being put up on petitioner No. 1 and her family members to compromise the said matter.

Notice of motion to respondents No. 1 to 6 only, at this stage.

On the asking of Court, Mr. Gazi Mohd., DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 6. Let requisite number of copies of paper-book be supplied to learned State counsel during the course of day. In view of the nature of order that is proposed to be passed, no reply is required to be filed by the respondents. The petitioners have already filed representation dated 29.05.2015 (Annexure P-4) in this regard to respondent No. 2-Director General of Police, Punjab Police Headquarters, Sector-9, Chandigarh. The instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur to look into the representation dated 29.05.2015 (Annexure P-4) and if needed take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
