Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus to direct respondents to provide information sought by petitioner under the Right to Information Act. It transpires that there is no formal notice of motion in this case. Reply on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 3 has already been filed. In the said reply, para-2 of preliminary submissions reads as under:- " That the information, as sought by the petitioner, was already provided to him and the petitioner has executed an affidavit dated 14.07.2021 (Annexure R-1) to the effect that the information sought by him stands provided to him by the department and he is fully satisfied with the said information and now he wants to withdraw the present writ petition from the Hon'ble High Court. "

A perusal of the aforesaid reply reveals that the information sought by petitioner stands provided to him by the department and he is fully satisfied with the said information.

Since no one is appearing on behalf of petitioner, therefore, present petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
