Instant petition, wherein petitioner has sought interim regular bail, on account of performing the rituals of Bhog Ceremony of his mother, namely Manjit Kaur, which is to take place on 09.03.2024. 2.
On previous date of hearing i.e. 04.03.2025, following order was passed:- "Present:

Present petition has been filed under Section 483 BNSS of 2023, rad with Seciton 528 of BNSS, 2023, for releasing the petitoiner on interim bail for a period of three weeks to attend the Bhog ceremony of his mother namely Manjit Kaur, in case FIR No.61 dated 11.06.2022, U/s 22/61/85 of NDPS Act, and section 29 of NDPS Act registered at P.S. Mehna, Distt. Moga.

Counsel for the petitioner contends that mother of the petitioner expired on 01.03.2025, and her Bhog ceremony is fixed for 09.03.2025.

On advance notice, Mr. Amandeep Singh, Dag, Punjab, puts an appearance on behalf of the respondent/State. 5.

Learned State counsel appears and files the report in Court (in Punjabi vernacular). Same is taken on record. He submits that after verifying the facts, it is found correct that mother of the petitioner, namely Manjit Kaur, expired on 01.03.2025, and now, the Bhog Ceremony of his mother, is fixed for 09.03.2025, at Village Bassian, P.S. Sadar Raikot, District Ludhiana.

Considering the totality of circumstances, this Court deems it appropriate to grant interim regular bail to the petitioner w.e.f. 08.03.2025 to 10.03.2025 up-till 12:00 A.M. (noon), to enable him to attend the Bhog Ceremony of his mother, which as per verification report, is to be held on 09.03.2025.

Resultantly, present petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on interim regular bail in this case up-till 12:00 A.M. (noon) on 10.03.2025, if not required in any other case, subject to his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate/Illaqa Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned. 6.
Needless to mention here that the petitioner shall surrender back to the Jail Authorities on 10.03.2025 at or before 12:00 A.M. (noon), in compliance to the directions passed by this Court. 7.
