**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) Case is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing. The petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No. 78 dated 19.6.2019 under Sections 22 and 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Sadar Bathinda, District Bathinda.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is a lady and having three children. He further submits that co-accused Jagwinder Singh, who is the husband of the petitioner, had been granted regular bail by this Court vide order dated 03.12.2019. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioner has been in custody since 19.6.2019 and no other case is pending against her.

As per the custody certificate, the petitioner has been in custody from the last 01 year, 01 month and 23 days and no other case is pending against her. Moreover, Co-accused Jagwinder Singh has already been granted regular bail by this Court. The trial will take time to conclude. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars. Without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on her furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
