By way of the instant petition, the petitioner has sought the indulgence of this Court for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the outstanding amount of `8,92,080/- which is due to him on account of the supply of inter-locking tiles for the development of the roads at Village Alamwala, Tehsil Bagha Purana, District Moga and he has also prayed for grant of interest on the said amount @12% per-annum, while averring that the above-mentioned amount is yet to be paid by the respondents and though, he moved representations dated 23.06.2020 and 04.01.2021 (Annexures P-3 and P-4 respectively) to respondent No.2 in this regard but no action has yet been taken thereon.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case a direction is issued to respondent No.2, to consider and decide his said representation Annexure P-4 within some specific time frame.

Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Keeping in view the above-discussed limited prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting upon the merits of the matter in hand, the instant writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Block Development & Panchayat Officer, Block Bagha Purana, District Moga, to consider and decide the above-said representation of the petitioner (Annexure P-4), in accordance with law/relevant rules and regulations, by passing a speaking order thereon, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
