Learned counsel representing petitioner-Karan Singh submits that the matter arises out of cross-versions wherein he has been convicted in

- 2 - FIR No.522 dated 28.8.1997, whereas the members of opposite party against whom the petitioner had lodged FIR No.508, dated 22.8.1997, they have been acquitted.

By way of the instant petition, the petitioner challanges the acquittal of respondents No.2 to 6 in FIR No.508 dated 22.8.1997. It has been submitted that the matter has been amicably resolved amongst the parties and that as such he wishes to withdraw the instant petition. It has also been informed that the petitioner expired during the pendency of the instant petition and that he has instructions from the LRs of petitioner-Karan Singh to withdraw the instant petition and that as a matter of fact he has also filed an application for bringing on record the LRs of the petitioner and for withdrawal of the instant revision petition, but the same could not be listed on account of certain objections having been raised by the Registry. It has also been submitted that the said application is duly accompanied by power of attorney of LRs of the petitioner.

The aforestated position regarding compromise is admitted by Mr. Kunal Dawar, Advocate, appearing on behalf of the private respondents i.e. the accused in the instant case. He has produced an original settlement deed effected amongst the parties which is duly signed by Prince Yadav and Jaideep Yadav sons of deceased petitioner-Karan Singh. The said original settlement deed is taken on record.

In view of the aforestated position, the instant petition is disposed of having been withdrawn.
