The petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.95 dated 29.10.2014 u/s 382/511/506 IPC registered at P.S. Ahmedgarh, District Sangrur at the instance of respondent No.2 Ram Singh alleging that on 25.10.2014 he was way laid by the petitioner and his bag containing money was snatched, besides, dragging him to some distance, resulting in receipt of scratches by him. The petitioner allegedly escaped from the spot. The parties now claim that the matter has been compromised. The parties were directed to appear before the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Malerkotla to get their statements recorded. After recording the statements of the parties, a report has been sent that the matter has been compromised voluntarily.

Following the Full Bench judgment of this Court in Kulwinder Singh and ors vs. State of Punjab and another 2007(3) RCR (Cr.) 1052 the petition is allowed. The above said FIR and all the proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
