This order will dispose of the above mentioned two petitions filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.9 dated 17.01.2019 registered for the offences under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC at Police Station City Rupnagar, District Rupnagar. Cr. Misc. Nos.M-12454 of 2019 etc.

[2] Punjab has appeared on behalf of the respondent-State, filed detailed reply and contested these petitions.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that as per the allegations in the FIR some persons were caught as touts with some stamps of Tehsildar office and with some fake documents involved in the fraudulent enrollment in the Indian Army. The petitioners have been arrested in this case. They have been in custody since 29.01.2019. The petitioners are not required for interrogation or investigation purposes as they are in judicial custody. The trial of the case is likely to take long time. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the petitioners in custody till the final disposal of the case.

Therefore, keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case; without discussing the facts in minute detail and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, these criminal miscellaneous petitions are allowed and the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail subject to their furnishing personal bonds in the sum of `50,000/- each with one surety in the like amount each to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
