Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioner as Senior Assistant w.e.f. 2012 in view of annexure P-1, dated 29.02.2012, along with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner submitted that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case the legal notice dated 12.11.2021 (P-12) is decided expeditiously.

Ms. Maloo Chahal, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioner.
