Petitioner No.1 - Anju aged about 16 years and 11 months and petitioner No.2 - Salinder aged about 21 years, both of whom are in a 'live-in' relationship, have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to official respondents to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of private respondents No.4 and 5, who do not approve of their 'live-in' relationship.

Pursuant to an advance copy of petition having been furnished to the respondent - State of Haryana, Mr. Munish Sharma, DAG, Haryana has also filed status report by way of affidavit of Shri Gaurav Sharma, H.P.S. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Barwala, Hisar, which is taken on record. 3.

The aforesaid status report is accompanied by statements of respondents No.4 and 5, wherein they have categorically stated that they shall not cause any harm to the petitioners.

In view of the aforestated position, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition at this stage with liberty to file afresh in case need be. 5.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid.
