The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner against the post of Assistant Professor (College Cadre) in the subject of Punjabi.

The petitioner is stated to have applied, pursuant to the Advertisement dated 19.10.2021 and scored 67 while the last selected candidate also has the same marks and there are 6 posts that are lying vacant of General category to which the petitioner had applied and can be considered against the same, with regard to which, representations dated 10.01.2025 and 03.02.2025, Annexures P-12 and P-13 respectively, have been submitted, however, the same have yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 3.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to MOHIT 2025.03.05 17:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-6185-2025 (O&M) -2consider and decide the representations dated 10.01.2025 and 03.02.2025, within a period of 6 weeks, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
