******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.167 dated 22.07.2017 registered for the offence punishable under Section 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 of Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Sangat, District Bathinda. Heard.
Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Maghar Singh submits that the petitioner has appeared before the trial Court and has been allowed interim bail in terms of order dated 28.05.2018 passed by this Court.
In view of submission of learned State counsel but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed and order dated 28.05.2018 is made absolute till the presentation of challan, subject to the following terms:- (i) that the petitioner shall keep on appearing before trial Court regularly;
