**** AJAY KUMAR MITTAL, J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, is for seeking direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to execute and implement the order dated 13.10.2016 (Annexure P-5), passed by the District Magistrate, Jalandhar, whereby, police protection was granted to the petitioner-Bank for taking the physical possession of the mortgaged properties. A further prayer for issuing direction to respondent No.4 to take necessary steps to assist the petitioner-Bank in taking the possession of the mortgaged property.

Learned State counsel has filed a status report by way of affidavit of Sh. Dharam Paul, PPS, Asstt. Commissioner of Police, Model Town, Jalandhar, on behalf of respondents No.2 and 3, in Court today, wherein, it has been stated that the physical possession of the secured asset has been delivered to the authorized official of the petitioner-Bank. It was submitted by the learned State counsel that the said possession was delivered to the petitioner-Bank on 25th April, 2019. The aforesaid status report is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. 3.
In view of the above, it was prayed that the present writ petition has become infructuous and may be disposed of as such. 4.
