The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to promote him to the post of DSP w.e.f. 01.12.2000 and grant consequential benefits. 2.
Mr. Pawan Kumar, DAG, Punjab, pointing out reply submits that case of the petitioner was under consideration, however, he retired on 30.06.2001. He was appointed as Inspector on 13.09.1988. Darshan Singh-respondent No.5 was not promoted and he retired on 31.05.2002, thus, the present petition has rendered infructuous.
