(ORAL) Through this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, in case FIR No. 0020 dated 01.03.2019 registered under Section 61 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 at Police Station Sadar Sri Muktsar Sahib. Mr. Sunil Gupta, ETO, from the Excise and Taxation Department is present in person and submits that Batch No. 5 mentioned on the recovered liquor was never manufactured by M/s Rana Sugars Ltd. (Distillery Division), Laukha, District Tarn Taran. Considering the aspect of the matter, this Court is of the considered opinion that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, to know from where he procured the recovered liquor. Dismissed.
