(ORAL) The present petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No.174, dated 26.06.2020, registered at Police Station Ram Nagar, Karnal, under Sections 406, 420, 506 IPC and Section 24 of Emigration Act, 1983 (Section 370 IPC added later on) (Annexure P-1) on the basis of compromise dated 02.04.2021 (Annexure P-2).

Pursuant to order dated 08.04.2021, report dated 07.06.2021 has been received from Additional Sessions Judge, Karnal, according to which, the statements of the parties have been recorded and the compromise is genuine and has been arrived at between them without any coercion or undue influence.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed and FIR No.174, dated 26.06.2020, registered at Police Station Ram Nagar, Karnal, under Sections 406, 420, 506 IPC and Section 24 of Emigration Act, 1983 (Section 370 IPC added later on) (Annexure P-1) along with all consequential proceedings having arisen therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioner.
