(ORAL) Claim petition bearing MACP-916-2022 titled Simran and another Vs. Rajesh Parsad Pathak and others is pending before learned MACT, Chandigarh. 2.

Petitioners herein are the claimants, who have approached this Court for issuance of necessary direction to the Motor Vehicle Accidents Tribunal, UT, Chandigarh for expeditious disposal of the claim petition. 3.

It is submitted by learned counsel that claim petition was filed way back in December 2022 by widow and minor child of the deceased seeking compensation on account of death of deceased Ankit @ Ankit Sachdeva. Mother of the deceased was impleaded as proforma respondent, who moved an application under Order 1 Rule 10 CPC to implead one Sahil nephew of the deceased, as party. Reply to that application was filed by the petitioners way back in April 2025, but that application is still pending for consideration. 4.

Having noticed the aforesaid facts and circumstances, but without issuing any notice and without commenting anything on the merits of the case, learned Motor Vehicle Accidents Tribunal, UT, Chandigarh is hereby directed to take effective steps for expeditious disposal of the claim petition. The Tribunal shall make every possible efforts to dispose of the claim petition within 6 months from the date of passing of this order.

Disposed of.
