The petitioner Jatinder Singh @ Bablu has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.58 dated 11.03.2021 under Sections 498-A/494 IPC, registered at Police Station City Faridkot (Annexure P-1).

The facts of the case are that Ranjit Kaur @ Seema filed written complaint against her husband Jitender Singh @ Bablu and others levelling the allegations of fraud at the time of marriage, harassment for bringing less dowry as well as acts of cruelty committed towards her. Her marriage was performed with Jitender Singh on 26.10.2016. Soon after marriage she was harassed for bringing less dowry. She was even beaten up and insulted. She has narrated the incident of cruelty committed in the matrimonial home. She gave birth to a female child on 10.12.2018. Learned counsel for the petitioner argued that he has already joined the investigation. Even challan has been presented and the prosecution evidence is under progress. This was third marriage of the petitioner and it was performed in a simple manner. All the allegations levelled against him are false. He is also facing trial. It is prayed that the anticipatory bail already granted in his favour may be confirmed. 4.

Learned counsel representing the State as well as learned counsel for respondent No.2 confirmed that challan in this case has been presented and the prosecution evidence is being recorded. There are specific serious allegations against the petitioner. Therefore, his anticipatory bail may be declined.

I have considered the aforesaid facts. The petitioner was granted ad interim bail as per order dated 27.09.2022. He is already facing trial and the prosecution evidence is under progress. The investigation is already completed. He is ready to abide by the terms of bail order. Considering these facts the ad interim bail granted to the petitioner Jatinder Singh @ Bablu vide order dated 27.09.2022 stands confirmed subject to same terms and conditions as detailed in the aforesaid order. The petition is, accordingly, accepted.
