Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have lodged an FIR against respondents No. 5 to 7 bearing No.24 dated 22.03.2018 at Police Station City-I, Mansa. Respondents No.3 and 4 are now pressurizing the petitioners to compromise with the accused. To this effect, an application for taking appropriate action against respondent No.3 has been moved before Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa, copy of which has been placed on file as Annexure P-4. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Mansa to look into the representation Annexure P-4 made by petitioner No.1 and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with copy of application (Annexure P-4). However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioner from any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
