SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners have filed this petition seeking protection of their life and liberty alleging that petitioner No.1-Ali Sher, who is major, has married petitioner No.2Gurminder Kaur, who is below 18 years of age, against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 9, who are parents and other relatives of petitioner No.2. Apprehending danger to their lives and liberty, they moved representation dated 15.06.2017 (Annexure P-4) to Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib. He confines the relief claimed in this petition for direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib to look into the representation of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
In view of the submission of learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib to look into representation dated Sachin Mehta 2017.06.19 18:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH
