-.- JAISHREE THAKUR J. (ORAL) The petitioners claim themselves to be major. They have pleaded that they have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 7 and seek protection to their life and liberty. They apprehend danger from respondents No.4 to 7. They have placed on record marriage certificate (Annexure P-6) evidencing their marriage. The petitioners have also submitted a representation dated 03.04.2021 (Annexure P-7) to respondent No.2 but no action has been taken so far.

Notice of motion.

Mr. P.P. Chahar, DAG, Haryana, who is present in Court, accepts notice for the official respondents. Counsel for the petitioner is directed to supply a copy of complete paper book to the counsel appearing for the State during the course of day.

Without commenting on the validity of the marriage allegedly performed by the petitioners and entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of this petition with direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation of PANKAJ KUMAR 2021.04.08 16:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP No.3406 of 2021 (O&M) -2the petitioners (Annexure P-7) within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and grant them protection, if any threat to their life and liberty is perceived. It is made clear that this order shall not be taken to protect the petitioners from legal action for violation of law, if any committed by them.

At this stage, counsel for the petitioner would submit that as per his instructions, the petitioners herein are presently lodged in Mid Town hotel at Naya Gaon, Punjab and respondents No.4 to 7 are hovering around the said hotel and therefore, petitioners have apprehension of their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7. Since the aforesaid hotel is situated in the territorial jurisdiction of State of Punjab, Mr. H.S. Sullar, AAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, is directed to take necessary steps to ensure safety of the petitioners herein. Counsel for the petitioners is directed to supply a copy of complete paper book to the counsel appearing for the State of Punjab for compliance.
